Fabric Stash

The polka dot maroon colour fabric has become a protagonist in both my lastest posts and my hearder. I got this (expensive) fabric in this shop and I have already run out of it. Neither to say I really have made use of it. To take the most of the last pieces of this fabric I had of it I made another piramic pouch (this time for my aunt).

The flowery fabric is from the same shop and made a heart-shaped lavender bag with the left-overs. The inspiration for lavender bags comes from Yummy Lavender, who makes them in dozens for events such as weddings or Christmas.

Finally I want to share this new (and unexpensive) fabric I purchased with the aim to make another lunch bag, yet do not really know when, since my wish-to-make list increases as much as my working time. Anyway, where there is a will there is a way, do not think?

Fabric Bundle

On my last trip to London my host had put this fabric bundle on my guest pillow, isn't it nice?. These eight fat quarters are adodable and I think Michelle or Ayumill's patterns are perfect for them. Suggestions are admitted anyway. For the time being, I have just hand-washed them and are being dried by the bursting sun of Madrid, so by the time I finish this post they will be completely dried.

Antoinette Curvy Clutch

Yesterday I managed to have a quiet sewing Sunday. It's been a long time since my last sewing project due to I am taking an important exam next year and my little spare time is dedicated just to study and in a another project that also has to do with teaching.
My lovely seven followers know that I love this Keyka Lou Pattern (on sale at the moment!). In my oppinion, this is the best curvy clutch I've made so far, especially because of the beautiful fabric I've used. Yummy Lavender got it and gave it to me last summer. She also made a lovely curvy clutch with another fabric she got in this lovely shop.

Today it's snowing in Madrid, so the light wasn't very good to make pics, but I hope you could appreciate how beautiful this fabric is.

A Surprise

Last Friday, when I got home from work I had a lovely surprise: my Dear Ms. Lavender,who has just been to Japan, had mailed me some lovely gifts:

This is a Geisha kitty which will be attached to my mobile phone from now on. Isn't it cute?
Esta es una Kitty geisha que estará enganchada a mi móvil de ahora en adelante. ¿A que es mona?
I think using a Keyka Lou pattern will be great for this Japanese fabric.
Creo que un patrón de keyka Lou quedaría muy chulo con esta tela japonesa.

And some make up to cover the rings under my eyes after a hard week.
Y algo de maquillaje para esconder mis ojeras después de una agotadora semana.

Make-up bag

I do not consirer myself a Tilda fan, however I have to recognize that Tonne Finnanger's books are a great source of inspiration.
For this cute make-up bag I have also used a tilda fabric that I bought in Uriday, the cosiest shop and workshop outside Madrid.
No me considero una fan de Tilda, sin embargo tengo que reconocer que los libros de Tonne Finnanger son una gran fuente de inspiración. Para este neceser de maquillaje también utilicé una tela tilda que compré en Uriday, la tienda/taller más acogedora de las afueras de Madrid.

By the way, I found this tilda freebie surfing on the net.
Por cierto, encontré estos patrones tilda gratis navegando por internet.

fabrics

Last month I went to Barcelona and I got these little pile of fabrics there, in a shop called Fild'Or. Each piece of fabric measures 55 x 20 cm and are perfectly matched for patchwork projects.
I still don't know what can I make with it... Any idea?

El mes pasado fui a Barcelona y entre en una tienda Fild'Or y encontré estas mini pilas de tela tan monas que me las llevé. Cada pieza mide 55 x 20, conjuntadas a la perfección para proyectos de patchwork.
Aún no sé que hacer con ellas... ¿Alguna idea?
