Assembled Hexagons

I am definetely hooked on the English paper piecing technique.
An aunt of mine is taking a patchwork course, which she is really enjoying,
she showed me her patterns and creations with English paper piercing technique and found it quite cute. However most of the designs were flower designs and a bit too much.
So we did some research about this technique and came across this post full of hexagon resources.

I find hexagon technique simple, quite entertaining and perfect to recycle fabric scraps.
Now I just need to think about what this project is going to turn ... maybe a cushion, a quilt, a bag... ideas are welcome!

Cushion II

This cushion meant to be a table mat for my adorable niece. It was not a good idea though,
due to the linen fabric I used to make it. So, in the end, it turned up a little cushion.

I am glad to see projects I started months ago start to take shape.
Hope the next will be a baby boy quilt I started no months but almost two years ago!

Cushion covers

I have finally finished this set of cushion covers I started making months ago.
They are for a really special couple, hence their initials to make them more personal.
I'm looking forward to seeing them on their couches.
The fabrics are from Ikea: they are both unexpensive and soft.

Production Line

I know I've made this tiny make-up bag before, but an ex-workmate used to like this one of mine and wanted to make one as a farewell.
I could not decide what fabric to use...

In the end, I made seven for her to choose.

Cath Kidston

Hi! Just to confirm I am one of the worst bloggers ever (5 months since my last post... upps)
I'm back to show something my sister and I made for my lovely niece last summer .

Making this bag was not really a big deal due to you get the fabric and already pre-cut pieces by getting this Cath Kidston's book, so the only thing you have to do is joining and sew the pieces up.

But it's very cute, isn't it? and my niece loves it!

I am back!

I have put aside blogging for months due to mixture of laziness and a bit of lack of inspiration. However, isn't it inspiring the fact that three close beautiful mums are about to repeat maternity by having no less than three baby girls! They are about to be born in and I have to rush if I want them to have what I am making for them in the next weeks.
This diaper changing pad is something I've just finished so far.

Oh my baby bibs!!

I've made these two baby bibs for my cute four-month-old nephew and
for my colleague's baby boy, who will be born in just four months.

The pattern is from "Bend the Rules" and the fabric used is pure percale cotton.
You might remember this patch bib I made more than a year ago.
