A fabric basket... again

Making these fabric baskets is definetely addictive. Blame Pink Penguin!
I've made this one this morning for a friend and her little baby girl.
In exchange, my friend has brought me hundreds of letters which we wrote each other
when we were 15 or 16 years old. Teen letters, what a laugh!

Make-up bag II

First of all, Happy 2011!
This is my first post of the year and it's to show you what the Three Wise Men,
coming on the 6th, are giving to my sister-in-law.
This is the second time I use this Tilda pattern from this book
you can see the former one here.

Disappearing 9 patch

Since I'm a follower of Allison's blog "Cluck Cluck Sew"
I've always wanted to make one her great Tutorials.

As I'm just an amateur seamstress, instead of a quilt I've made a cushion

To make it a bit more original I made it reversible with some linen fabric and a botton.

Spring smelling in Winter

I few days ago a received these two lavender hearts for Xmas. Aren't they lovely? They smell so nice!
If you want to see a basket full of them and find out about the sender click here.

My first pincushion

A good friend of mine was coming over to spend this five-day holiday  in Madrid. However, there has been a savage air traffic controller strike here in Spain, which has had the air traffic completely still for two days, so my friend has had to stay in Barcelona (hopefully she could get her money back). It's been a completely caos over here and thousands of Spanish people's holiday or relaxing plans have been ruined because of the greed of  very few people... At least I have had more time than usual to blog around to see what my favourite bloggers have been doing lately.

Pink Penguin is one of my favourite bloggers ever. I find her really generous to share her awesome tutorials with all of us. I have also always loved her cute little pincushions, so this morning I have made this one inspired by hers.

Antoinette Curvy Clutch

Yesterday I managed to have a quiet sewing Sunday. It's been a long time since my last sewing project due to I am taking an important exam next year and my little spare time is dedicated just to study and in a another project that also has to do with teaching.
My lovely seven followers know that I love this Keyka Lou Pattern (on sale at the moment!). In my oppinion, this is the best curvy clutch I've made so far, especially because of the beautiful fabric I've used. Yummy Lavender got it and gave it to me last summer. She also made a lovely curvy clutch with another fabric she got in this lovely shop.

Today it's snowing in Madrid, so the light wasn't very good to make pics, but I hope you could appreciate how beautiful this fabric is.

The Spanish Muse is back

Apparently  the long-waited release of some of the muses will be next year.
