Make-up bag

I do not consirer myself a Tilda fan, however I have to recognize that Tonne Finnanger's books are a great source of inspiration.
For this cute make-up bag I have also used a tilda fabric that I bought in Uriday, the cosiest shop and workshop outside Madrid.
No me considero una fan de Tilda, sin embargo tengo que reconocer que los libros de Tonne Finnanger son una gran fuente de inspiración. Para este neceser de maquillaje también utilicé una tela tilda que compré en Uriday, la tienda/taller más acogedora de las afueras de Madrid.

By the way, I found this tilda freebie surfing on the net.
Por cierto, encontré estos patrones tilda gratis navegando por internet.

Sewing Books

Last week I went to the largest bookshops in Madrid to get some sewing books. However, there isn't a wide offer around my city (or nothing as eye-catching as the books I always see on the net) so, I came back home empty-handed. I have no other option than order them through the net. These are the ones I wish:
La semana pasada fui a las librerias más grandes de Madrid para comprar algunos libros de costura. Sin embargo, no hay una gran oferta en mi ciudad (o no tan llamativa como los libros que siempre veo en la red) así que volví con las manos vacías. No tengo otra opción que pedirlos por internet. Estos son los que quiero:

I think it's getting time to take my amateur sewing further and try to create some skirts for next seasons, don't you think?

Pues si, creo que ya va siendo hora de llevar un poco más allá mi costura de principiante e intentar hacer alguna que otra faldita para las estaciones venideras, ¿no crees?

I have always felt myself very lucky for having both a year-older sister and a mum who used to sew the same pretty dresses for us. Some day, I'll dedicate a post to show you some more of these.
Siempre me he sentido afortunada de tener una hermana mayor y una madre que cosía los mismos vestiditos para las dos. Algún día dedicaré un post a mostraros alguno más.


Cloe is one of my best friend's daughter, and she turned 3 last week. She's an only child, the same as my two-year-old niece. Cloe's birthday inspired me to sew two equal fabric baskets for them both, as my mum used to do twenty years ago.
Cloe es la hija de una de mis mejores amigas y cumplió nada menos que tres añitos la semana pasada. Cloe es hija única, igual que mi sobrina de dos años. Su cumpleaños me inspiró el coser dos cestitas idénticas para ellas, como mi madre solía hacer hace veinte años.


I have used Pink Penguin's tutorial again, and as Squirrel Acorns told me she liked the striped candy fabric I used on the inside of my former fabric basket I have also used it this time in white and blue.
He utilizado el tutorial de Pink Penguin de nuevo, y como Squirrel Acorns me dijo que le gustó la tela interior de rayas que utilizé en mi anterior cesta de tela la he vuelto a utilizar, pero esta vez en azul y blanco.

The Rain Pauly

Last week I was driving home from work and I listened to this song on the radio...It was so awesome that as soon I got home wanted to listen to it again.
La semana pasada volvía a casa desde el trabajo y escuché esta canción en la radio...Me pareció tan especial que en cuanto llegué a casa quise escucharla otra vez.

Curvy Clutch

I began creating clutches and pouches last summer and my projects are getting better and better with the practice. However, I'm still a novice in sewing and make mistakes when aplying the patterns. I made a second attempt to make a Keyka Lou's Curvy clutch, and when it was almost finished I realized I had placed the inner pocket on the wrong side of the clutch body! Yet I don't mind and I have already taken my new clutch to do the shopping.
Empecé a crear bolsos de mano el verano pasado, sin embargo aún soy una novata en esto de la costura. Mis proyectos mejoran con la práctica, pero aún cometo errores a la hora de aplicar los patrones. Hice un segundo intento para crear un bolso de mano con los patrones de Keyka Lou y cuando estaba casi acabado me di cuenta de que había puesto el bolsillo interior en el lado equivocado! Pero bueno, tampoco me importa y ya me lo he llevado a hacer la compra.

Needle Case

I used to have an ugly round plastic case to keep my needles, fortunately "it broke" and made a fabric one with one of the patterns of this pretty book.

Tenía una de esas cajitas feas redondas de plástico para guardar las agujas, afortunadamente "se rompió" e hice una de tela utilizando uno de los patrones de este libro tan chulo.

fabrics

Last month I went to Barcelona and I got these little pile of fabrics there, in a shop called Fild'Or. Each piece of fabric measures 55 x 20 cm and are perfectly matched for patchwork projects.
I still don't know what can I make with it... Any idea?

El mes pasado fui a Barcelona y entre en una tienda Fild'Or y encontré estas mini pilas de tela tan monas que me las llevé. Cada pieza mide 55 x 20, conjuntadas a la perfección para proyectos de patchwork.
Aún no sé que hacer con ellas... ¿Alguna idea?
